The MPPD programme is a specialized teacher training designed to prepare educators to assist children from 2.5 to 6 years of age. Our curriculum balances deep theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical application.+2
Course of Study
Our multi-faceted approach ensures you are fully equipped for the classroom:
- Lectures and Presentations: You will dive into Montessori child psychology, current educational research, and the practical application of the Montessori method. Our educators will demonstrate the precise use of Montessori materials.+1
- Supervised Practice and Observation: Mastering the original Montessori materials requires supervised practice. Additionally, students observe active Montessori classrooms to appreciate professional body language and classroom management.+1
- Material Making: Because the Montessori method utilizes specialized tools, students participate in sessions to create their own handmade materials. Note that students are responsible for purchasing their own stationery and specific materials.+1
- Assignments: Students must maintain Presentation Albums for all curriculum areas. Weekly submissions are required, and timely completion is a prerequisite for final exam eligibility.+1
- Contact Classes: Held in October, these sessions bring all participants together at a Practice Centre to learn from one another and refine their presentations.
Key Areas of Study
The curriculum is divided into five core developmental areas:
| Area of Study | Focus & Benefits |
| Exercises of Practical Life | Focuses on self-care, environmental care, grace, and courtesy to help trainees develop concentration and coordination. |
| Sensorial Activities | Teaches how to help children order and classify sensory impressions like color, temperature, mass, and pitch. |
| Arithmetic Activities | Trainees learn to introduce symbols, sequences, and basic math facts, helping 3-year-olds internalize abstract concepts. |
| Language Activities | Covers oral development, writing, reading, grammar, and children’s literature to teach the sounds and symbols of language. |
| Cultural Activities | Exposes children to the world through geography, history, life sciences, music, art, and movement. |

Course Delivery: The Blended Advantage
To accommodate modern schedules while maintaining high standards, we use a blended format:
- Online Classes: Live lectures and equipment demonstrations are telecasted via Zoom. These are held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.+1
- Offline Practice Classes: Because Montessori training requires physical interaction with equipment, offline sessions are held at affiliated institutions. These sessions occur every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to save you traveling time during the week.+1
