Shahnaz Shakeer is a dedicated Montessori professional and an alumnus of IIMS, holding a Pre-Primary cum Primary Diploma. With a foundation in science and over two decades of faculty experience, she integrates practical classroom expertise with academic rigor to mentor both students and future educators.
Instructional Expertise & Experience
Having joined the IIMS faculty in 2003 following a three-year tenure at Golden Bead, Shahnaz specializes in bridging the developmental transition between pre-primary and primary education.
- Pre-Primary Specialization: Focuses on the Exercises of Practical Life (EPL) and Language, establishing the foundational motor skills and communication tools necessary for early learners.
- Primary Specialization: Delivers advanced instruction in Mathematics, History, and Geography, guiding students through the complexities of abstract thinking and cosmic education.
Trainer Training & Arithmetic Leadership
Shahnaz is a “Teacher of Teachers,” playing a pivotal role in the professional development of Montessori faculty.
- Arithmetic Module Lead: She is responsible for handling the Arithmetic module within the Trainers’ training program, ensuring that future instructors master the Montessori mathematical apparatus and philosophy.
